Driven by her commitment to environmental sustainability, Shamila also engages in work related to climate law, offering advice on decarbonisation laws and energy efficiency policies for clients in the manufacturing industry.
As the immediate past President of the Malaysian Association in Singapore, Shamila has fostered meaningful collaborations and discussions between private companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and individuals in Singapore and Malaysia. Her efforts in facilitating engagements with government and non-government agencies, along with esteemed corporate partners, have strengthened cross-border relations.
Her voice has been pivotal in promoting female and youth empowerment in the workplace, both locally and internationally, speaking at dialogue sessions in Singapore in conjunction with World Day for Cultural Diversity and International Women's Day, and coaching and mentoring law students participating in international mediation competitions, guiding them in developing their dispute resolution skills.
